Lunenburg Town Council has approved the Electric Utility Budget for the next year. The $4.387 million budget includes a capital plan that will guide electrical upgrades over the next five years. The full five year plan will amount to $21 million in investments to the town's electric utility system. During the first year of the plan projects include, construction of a new double-circuit feeder on Green Street and upgrades to electrical infrastructure in the Knock Lane and Blue Rocks areas. Council also approved the Electric Utility Operating Budget, totaling $8.896 million, which supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of the Town’s electric utility.
