South Shore residents should be prepared for high water levels this morning. Environment Canada has the area from Herring Cove to Sable Island under a Coastal flooding statement as large waves pounding surf and elevated sea levels are expected. The weather agency says Storm surge and minor coastal flooding is possible along shorelines exposed to the southeast, especially around high tide.
