South Shore under two warnings from Environment Canada

Environment Canada warns to avoid non-essential travel, outdoor activities and to prepare for utility and transportation disruption ahead of Winter Storm
Brace yourself for another blast from Old Man Winter. Environment Canada has issued an Orange Warning for a Winter Storm and a Coastal Flooding Statement for the south shore. The weather agency says the region could see 20 to 30 centimetres of snow, and up to 50 centimetres along the coast. The snow is predicted to begin on Monday morning before tapering off on Tuesday morning. Strong winds are expected, leading to blowing snow and making visibility tough for drivers. Environment Canada warns to avoid non-essential travel, outdoor activities and to prepare for utility and transportation disruption ahead of Winter Storm. Lunenburg County is also under a Coastal Weather Statement during high tide later Monday evening. Environment Canada says Lunenburg, Shelburne and Halifax Counties may see maximum wave heights of five to seven metres. Storm surge combined with wave action may raise water levels above the highest astronomical tide.
