Police are warning of cryptocurrency scams after an Eastern Passage man lost more than $150,000. The RCMP responded to the call last week. The man was contacted through email and social media and persuaded to invest in cryptocurrency, and then the scammers stole the money. RCMP say these kinds of scams are becoming more common and often appear legitimate. But they warn, if it sounds too good to be true, it’s likely a scam.
