Long-term care workers at another Nova Scotia home have voted to go on strike. The workers at The Meadows in Yarmouth voted unanimously in favour of job action. So far, that’s staff at four long-term care homes in the province that have voted in favour of walking off the job. Strike votes are being taken at all 52 homes in the province as contract negotiations continue. The union is calling for higher wages and more effort in hiring and retaining staff.
