Allyship Training

On behalf of Pride Lunenburg and our partners, we are pleased to offer your organization an invitation to register for a professional development session: 2SLGBTQIA+ Allyship to Action Training.

A Commitment to Active Equity

This comprehensive, full-day training is designed to move individuals beyond awareness and equip them with actionable tools and resources to foster active allyship and implement tangible equity practices for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized groups within our communities.

This type of high-quality, full-day specialized training is often costly for organizations. However, thanks to funding from Province of Nova Scotia's Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, we are able to offer this session completely free of charge to our community members.

Lunenburg County Pride is proud to offer free formal training sessions focused on 2SLGBTQIA+ Allyship to Action. The sessions will feature customized 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion training, covering essential topics inclusive practices, action based allyship, and conflict management. The goal is to equip attendees with actionable resources that foster skills in active allyship, while also addressing strategies for navigating advocacy in an environment where hate-based organizing is on the rise. These sessions aim to empower community members with the knowledge and tools necessary to actively support equity for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized groups.

This training has been made possible by the support of the Province of Nova Scotia. We are pleased to work in partnership with the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage to help grow Nova Scotian’s awareness and understanding of the richness of the province’s communities.
